Collided with a large truck tire on the road that took out are AC condenser on the way from Illinois to South Carilina. After an overnight stay in Knoxville called Transmission Corporation of America first thing in the morning to see if they would be able to look at it. After learning that we were travelers and pressed for time they told us to head on over and they would check it out. They went above and beyond to locate the necessary part on a Saturday in order get us back on the road. Shop was supposed to close at noon but they stayed til 1 to get everything working for us. Best part is that they are a NAPA certified repair center so even though we were just passing through Knoxville we have a nationwide 2 year 24,000 mile warranty on the part and labor. Julie and the crew are our heroes!

Joseph, Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to share your experience! We are so glad you were happy with your service and wish you all the best!

The ONLY place I will take my vehicle. After moving to Knoxville from the Detroit Metro Area, I had to leave the familiar family mechanic behind, along with everything else. My job has me driving all over Knox county, every day, putting a lot of wear & tear on my car, in city traffic to boot (harder on your car than highway traffic). I literally can not afford to be without my vehicle for long. After an experience, years ago, with a shop where I was getting a new wheel put on my Mustang, and they called me to tell me (long story short) that my coolant had run dry and that my system needed to flushed, asap (when I KNEW that my levels were good, and that everything was in great shape before I went in, because I was always out working on it), and then charged me for it ... I also have major trust issues with letting people work on my vehicle. When my vehicle started acting up, I asked around and got a few referrals; I narrowed them down to the three best candidates, and then (discreetly) went to each for a diagnostic and estimate. Two of the shops came up with a very broad diagnostic, and one of them even insisted I needed my transmission pulled. These guys (TCoA) narrowed the diagnostic down to a specific part, and told me that my transmission would eventually need to be pulled, but that I'd have a good while before it was necessary. I went ahead and gave them the job, and was NOT disappointed. They stuck to fixing only the problem part that had been discussed and agreed upon, kept to the estimate we'd agreed on, let me know of a few things to keep an eye on (I *AM* driving a 10y/o, pre-owned SUV from Michigan), and had me back on the road again in half the time that the mechanic back home, that all my family have been going to for years, would have. Color me impressed. Then, just to really blow my mind, a few days later, I received a handwritten thank-you note in the mail. It was, honestly, very touching. Since then, I have returned numerous times for routine maintenance, and for a few of the aches & pains an old gal like Ginger can expect after ten years on Michigan roads. I have received the same level of professionalism, integrity, and care that I've come to expect from Julie and her crew, each and every time. They simply do not disappoint, and I HIGHLY recommend them.

THANK YOU!!!!! Its customers like you that keep the doors open and why we have been in business 29yrs.

I was traveling from Ohio to North Carolina and my engine light came on. I stopped and asked some gentleman at a gas station where a mechanic was and they directed me to them. Julie was very professional and immediatly ( and I mean right away even though they had a back up of cars in the bays) checked the code on my car. She said it was nothing to worry about and reset the code. She didn't even charge me! I highly recommend them for all your cars needs.

Thank you Andrew for sharing your experience with us, and your 5 star review! We are so happy our staff was able to help you in such a timely manner, and get you back on the road. We hope the rest of your trip was as pleasant, and if you are ever in the Knoxville area, be sure to stop back by!

Up the street told me I needed transmission work @ $1000 + Turns out it was only a motor mount. Fixed @ $225 which included AC charge. Will most definitely use them again and highly recommend. Very honest and knowledgeable.

Thank you Willie! We truly value your support :)

Julie and the staff did an excellent job taking care of my transmission issues. Other than me setting up a time to have my vehicle towed to the shop, I had no other worries. Julie took care of handling the warranty company not to mention getting a manufactures update and recall taken care of while they had the vehicle. I also learned that they do more than just transmissions which is great to hear. I also enjoyed the fact that there was a follow up call a week later to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. I will definitely use Transmission Corporation of America again should the need arise.

Thank You Neal !!! You are a AWESOME guy !! We look forward to caring for all your auto needs. (Julie)

Don't stand behind there work they lie right to your face they are very rude and since my truck has been back 2 additional times and been sitting there a week and they haven't even put it inside and now they are telling me it will be next week because they put another one in front of mine again I own a wrecker company and I will tell everyone about how terrible they are that was the worst 3,700 I have ever spent

Wesley your claims are untrue. We are more than willing to stand behind our work and you are stating you have 1 issue and in fact..it is not the problem at a all. I apologize that we have been unable to get the truck on our big truck lift due to having a 17000 pound RV on it and trying to get a service man back to base. And as far as being rude sir...We have tried to be very nice, but no one is going to be nice when being yelled & cussed at. I also told you we are finishing RV to get you on the lift ASAP. There is absolutely nothing wrong with your transmission. You have a rear main engine seal leak. And we are more than willing to repair it.
